• Put all the ingredients (except Long Chili or Jalapeno Peppers and Long Beans) in a wok or cooking pan
• Let it simmer until the coconut milk and cream are cooked. Keep in mind to continuously mix the ingredients from time to time to prevent the ingredients from sticking to the pan which will cause for burnt ingredients
• Once oil from the pork and coconut milk and cream came out, you may now add the remaining ingredients which are the long beans and long chili or jalapeno peppers
• Let it simmer for a few more minutes
• Put in a serving bowl then serve

Ingredients

• 1/2 kilo pork chops
• 4 to 5 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 cup water
• 1 medium sized yellow onion, peeled and sliced crosswise
• Juice from 3 to 4 calamansi
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoon canola oil
• Onion leaves, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. In a marinating bowl, mix together the soy sauce, water, calamansi, salt and pepper, and pork chops, Marinate for about 30 minutes to an hour
2. Place the pork chops and 1/2 cup of the marinade sauce in a cooking pan then let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes
3. Once pork chops are a little tender, drain the pork chop setting aside the sauce
4. Heat the oil in the cooking pan
5. Pan-fry both sides of the pork chops until medium brown
6. Once all pork chops are pan-fried, remove the excess oil from the cooking pan then start pouring the all the marinade sauce as well as the pork chops
7. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until the pork chops becomes tender as desired. (NOTE: add more water, soy sauce, and calamansi as needed)
8. Once pork chop is already tender as desired, add half of the sliced onion then cook for about 5 more minutes
9. Transfer all the content of the cooking pan in a serving bowl
10. Place the other half of the remaining sliced onion in a pan and cook it for about less than a minute
11. Garnish the cooked onions and onion leaves on top and serve

Take note that I'm not really into following the cooking time because I use my sense of taste and gut feel when it comes to cooking. You may want to adjust the number of minutes depending on your cooking style. Make sure to do taste test while cooking so you'll have control on the taste.

I've been craving for Banapple's Lasagna Roll-ups thus hubby decided to have our dinner and satisfy my cravings. For those who are not yet informed, Banapple is now serving at SM North Edsa Sky Garden just beside the ramen house restaurant name Taisho.

Since we dined on a weekdays, hubby and I already expected that we will not be seated in an instant. Good thing we are number 3 on the wait list which is not that bad.


Anyway, hubby ordered Crisp Pork Scallopini with Sour Cream Barbecue Sauce while I opt for Lasagna Roll-Ups. We also had a slice of their famous Banoffee Pie.

I present to you the Red Velvet Crinkles with Cream Cheese Filling and Oreo Cheesecake which I bought from an IG online seller named mambaskidstuff. Yes, I've been seeing a lot of these stuff over my IG and twitter timeline and out of curiosity I immediately sent an SMS inquiry and of course ordered 1 set of each.

Red Velvet Crinkles with Cream Cheese Filling

• One set contains about 14 pieces and is worth Php 500. The kids instant loved eating these one and my daughter was able to actually identify the cream cheese filling which amazed both hubby and I. Anyway, to be perfectly honest it was a little too sweet for me and there are pieces where I can't really taste the filling but I'm guessing it was only my taste bud acting up since my daughter was able to identify the filling.

I've been battling on what Starbucks Secret Recipe to try since I've already tried and tasted the Harry Potter inspired Starbucks Butterbeer. I ended up trying the Starbucks Nutella Frappuccino among the long list.

Starbucks Nutella Frappuccino Recipe (Grande)- Mocha Frappuccino
- Add 1 pump of Hazelnut Syrup
- Add 2 pumps of Mocha Syrup
- Whipped cream blended in
- Top it with whipped cream and/or caramel (optional)

I am such a huge fan of Nutella and that's what made me chose to try this one among all the other flavors. In my opinion, it doesn't taste like my favorite Nutella at all but in all fairness to this drink it taste good. Yes, I'm a little disappointed because I really did expect to finally taste Nutella as a drink but it was a total failure. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed drinking it while chatting with Gracyy, my sister-in-law.

By the way, I paired my drink with my all-time favorite Starbucks Belgian Waffle in Chocolate then I drizzled it with cinnamon and chocolate powder.


Yes, I had too much chocolate that nigh but after we went home I was sleepy instead of being all hyper and whatnot. Hahaha!

When I was in high school, my classmates and I always go to this really small place where Ersao was located after class dismissal. Our usual would be the Taro Milk Tea and Spicy Squid/Chicken/Pork. I remember Ersao being a kiosk or maybe an upgraded food cart back then. We have the same routine every single day until Ersao closed. Anyway, I know that they already have other branches and the biggest one that I saw was the one in West Avenue but I was so thrilled to see their food store at Jackman, Munoz.

I ordered their Ersao Combo Meal B - spicy chicken, rice, soup and pearl milk tea. The food is pretty decent with its Php 119 price. I mean, I was pretty satisfied even without the extra rice. The serving does looks a little small but it actually isn't and I totally love it. The taste is still the same when I was in High School and it kind of brought me to memory lane.

I will definitely be coming back to satisfy my Ersao craving and also to try out the other combo meals that they are offering although I'm such a huge fan of their Combo Meal B, hahaha.

I am a huge fan of anything with mint thus I always feel giddy when November comes just because Christmas is going to start over at Starbucks, hahaha. Anyway, I felt bad the very first time that Peppermint Mocha was not included on their Christmas drink. No judging, please! Those were actually  the days where I wasn't aware that I can just go and simply ask the Barista to whip it up for me since the ingredients used are in season, hahaha! I know I am such a fail. Aside from the drink, I usually go for Belgian Waffle but since there are no other food choices at that time, I just go for the Starbucks Peppermint Brownie (Php 75.00) which is by the way included on their Christmas food.

To cut the really long story short, knowing my love for mint I am pretty sure that all of you will say that I love eating the brownie. Well, I didn't actually enjoyed it that much. I know, I know but I just find the brownie too sweet and too minty for me and the fact that the brownie is chewy but not really *face palm*. Its kind of hard to really explain but all I know is that there are some parts of the brownie that are chewy but there are some which is a little burnt thus the hardness. Maybe I didn't really appreciate the goodness of Peppermint Brownie because I ate it while drinking the Butter Beer.

Overall, it wasn't that bad but as a big fan of anything minty, I am pretty much disappointed. Oh well, better luck next time or I should stick with my usual Belgian Waffle instead.

The secret is out and everyone has been blabbing about their Starbucks' Butterbeer experience. Beerbutter is not a part of their usual menu including the Christmas menu but ever since articles about the Starbucks Secret Recipe circulated the WWW a lot of people became curious as to how it would taste like. I am also a little curious on how it taste like so I give in and tried it out after watching the premier of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at Shangri-la Cineplex 3.

Before I even tried it, I saw the recipe on the internet and even posted it in here.For the sake of those who haven't read it yet, I am more than willing to share it again.

Starbucks Butterbeer Recipe (Grande)- Creme Frappucino (base)
- Add 3 pumps of Caramel syrup
- Add 3 pumps of Toffee Nut syrup
- Top with Caramel drizzle

Just so you know, this recipe is only good for the holiday season and that was because of the Toffee Nut syrup. Like what I said, this is not on their menu so you may want to write down the recipe and show it to your Barista just in case they don't have a slightest idea on how to whip up the not-so-secret drink anymore. Although I doubt that your Barista will have no idea on how to make Butterbeer since a lot of people are already ordering this one.

IMHO, I didn't really liked it because I find it too sweet for me. To be totally honest, when I saw the recipe I was like, "whaaaaaat? 3 pumps each of caramel and toffee nut syrup, I'm totally going to die." I still prefer the usual ones and of course the Christmas drinks.

Anyway, I'm going to try another recipe from the list of Starbucks Secret Recipe which really caught my attention and I am really hoping that I am going to love it, haha. As for the movie, I'll be telling you more about it on my next update.

Momcee has been bugging us about trying out Ababu Persian Kitchen which is located at 75 Xavierville Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City, Metro Manila just because she wants us to experience the yogurt sauce that they are serving. I gave in to her request because I am huge fan of Persian cuisine as well as anything that is yogurt.

Last 2012, stories about their Iscreamist experience flooded my Facebook feed and even on my Twitter but wasn't able to try it out for myself due to store venue is far from where we live. Anyway, hubby was craving for Rodics' Tapsilog thus we proceed to their Maginhawa branch along with my sister and Tita. Since we are already in the area, we finally decided to do a little food hopping starting off with Iscreamist which is located at 46 D Magiting Street, Teacher's Village, East Diliman, 1101 Diliman District, Quezon City, Philippines.

My kids and I are fond of watching YouTube and one of them are videos relating to Kinder Joy. For those of you who still haven't encountered this product, Kinder Joy is consist of chocolates - think Ferrero Rocher - and a small toy enclosed in an egg-shaped container.

Hubby and I got to try Kebabers last September of this year, I guess. I wasn't able to do a proper documentation for blogging purposes on our first time since we are both staving that day. I just got out from work and went straight to SM Sky dome to support my husband on their company event. Okay! To cut the very long story, our second time to eat at Kebabers was on their SM Fairview branch.

We ordered 3 pieces Beef Kebab with Cheese Meal, Double Up Peppered Beef Shawarma Bowl and Beef Pichos. As for our drinks, we both ordered for a large root beer.

Hey loooooves! I'm back with yet another food related blog entry and this time I am going to share my current search for the best tasting Cronut or whatever spelling that you have in mind. First thing first, Cronut is a kind of croissant-doughnut kind of pastry. Yes! This food is a little bipolar, hahaha! Anyway, it all started with the the curiosity on why people are into this pastry. I mean it basically looked like a simple bread to me but what's on being overly gaga over a food. As of this writing, I've only tasted 3 Cronut from 3 different brand and my journey to taste the best ever Cronut still continues.

My first ever was Anybody's Coffee Cronutz which I got in milk chocolate and cost at around Php 95.00 each if I'm not mistaken.


Honestly, I didn't enjoy this one because I didn't felt the croissant part of the Cronutz but instead I only felt like I am eating a simple doughnut.

The second one is the Cro-nuts from Go Nuts Donuts which I got in Chocolate Almond flavor and amounting to Php 75.00 each.


I enjoyed this one because it is cheaper than the first one and the croissant feeling is kind of present but still not what I am expecting for.

Third and hopefully not the last, The French Baker Cronuts which I got in Vanilla Flavor and cost at around Php 55.00 I guess.


Just so you all know among the three I loved the Cronuts from The French Baker because it is way cheaper than the first 2 and the pastry itself is to die for. I know I am exaggerating but you can really taste the croissant-doughnut thing and it has maybe a custard filling inside each layer. Its like there is a Cronut party happening inside my mouth in every bite. Hahahaha!

Anyway, like what I've said my journey still continues and I would love to hear from you on where I can get the other Cronut available here in Manila. Just comment down below and I am going to try my very best to taste all of them Cronuts from Manila.
