I was craving for Lemon Chicken but due to the scorching heat of the weather I decided to cook instead go outside and buy from a Chinese restaurant. Good thing the recipes needed are readily available in our kitchen and that my friend is what you called perks of stocking up basic ingredients, LOL!

Anyway, the photo doesn't do much justice on how tasty it is. Here's the recipe if you want to cook your very own Lemon Chicken.

  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt, or to taste
Preparation
  1. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes using thew marinade mixture.
  2. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce. Set aside.
  3. Coat the marinated chicken with the cornstarch and flour mixture.
  4. Heat the pan then add about two inches of oil.
  5. Once oil is fully heated, deep fry the chicken until golden brown then transfer the chicken out to a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. On a small sauce pan, add the sauce mixture and bring it to a quick boil.
  7. Put the fried chicken in the sauce pan where the sauce mixture is quickly boiling. Slowly stir making sure that the chicken and sauce mixture are stirred together.
