Proud To Be Plump

PLUMP
- To become well-rounded, chubby, or full in form. - http://www.thefreedictionary.com/
- adjective; sufficiently fat so as to have a pleasing fullness of figure - Stacy & Danah of The Plump Pinay
I confess that I wasn't that proud because I have big bones, extra meats on the side and although I still can fit on a size 29 - 30 when it comes to jeans, I wasn't that confident still just because in the back of my head I'm aiming to have that Victoria's Secret's Angel's body; who wouldn't right. Anyhow, since I embraced hatred towards my full-bodied figure I decided to become friends with the very friendly eating disorders making me both an anorexic and bulimic all at the same time. Yep! Sounds weird but its all true.
That thinking was before I stumble upon The Plump Pinay's blog where Danah & Stacy always write beautiful words about loving your body whether you are skinny, plump, white, or black. I'm not sure if they are aware of it but they bring out the best in everyone with all the things that they share on their blog. I just hope that they keep on posting lots of inspiring stuff so that people like me who lacks self confidence will start embracing life with both hands without worrying about what other people might say.
Oh well, past is past although I still do believe that everything happened for a reason. As of the moment, I stop hating my full figured body and totally embracing whatever flaws I have. I am now happy with what God had given me but still working out on the extra bulge that I gained due to pregnancy. I know it will not come overnight but with the brisk walking and running after the kids, I know I get rid of them in no time.
I'm just so proud to be plump because being sexy doesn't always mean having an oozing body instead it is also about having confidence and the right attitude towards other people.
And by that, I am going to share you a not-so-lookbook-type photo which I still posted on my LookBook account anyway. Hype and let's be LookBook friends.

i think we're facing the dilemma. i'm not a size 0 girl. my size is usually 3 or 4. medium framed they say and a little chubby. at times i hate it especially during the advent of fashion blogging. i so love fashion and i dress fashionably but i just can't have the guts to the OOTD :) but now i want to, but i'm still a little in between. ang hirap talaga pag chubby ka! and lalo na kapag alam ng friends mo and family yung blog mo :D hahaha
ReplyDeleteyou look fab in those clothes. sadly, i don't own a lookbook.
Nakiki-lookbook lang ako para makita ko lang improvement ko sa pag-embrace sa aking flaws.
DeleteAY! I know that blog! I'm on the plump side din. But I think I'm bigger than you. Siguro a little inches. :D Anyway, back to the blog, I've read a couple of their posts back then. Nagiging inspiration ko sila. Sometimes kasi I can't help but get frustrated with the way my body look. I have to say that little by little, I'm loving my body. But I'm still on a diet. LOL.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, being sexy doesn't mean you have to have the 36-24-36 body measure. It's all about being confident and loving yourself.
Very inspirational talaga nila stacy and Danah and super thankful ako kasi nakita ko blog nila. Just like you, meron din talagang time na na-frustrate ako kasi meron ako mga gusto isuot na hindi naman bagay sa akin.
Deleteplump is really sexy <3 im proud that you are proud :) nice post!

Proud Plump here too! I believe in the saying that if you feel beautiful, people will see that through you and will see how beautiful you are <3 Don't let other people bring you down, ;)
ReplyDeleteGo girl! I also believe that it's better to have some meat in your bones, like what a famous celebrity once said, if your thighs don't jiggle, you have to see the doctor. It's not really good to be stick thin. And besides, for me, being sexy is all about how one carries herself. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aileen :) I actually don't have any intention to become stick thin siguro loose a few "baby fats" will do.
DeleteThanks for this 'cause I am feeling so plump now!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome, Bella :)
DeleteThat's true being sexy doesn't mean having an oozing body but its being comfortable with yourself and how you look. Self-confidence can really be sexy at times.
ReplyDeleteIt really is :) All it takes is self-confidence and trust in oneself.
DeleteBeing sexy is a mindset. Just like being happy or being rich. So, go girl! Keri lang!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Yes! Gaya nga ng sabi, claim it kaya I'm claiming na sexy ako, chos! Hahaha!
DeleteHappy for you! Its all about how you carry yourself and how comfortable you are with your own body. You serve as an inspiration to a lot of females out there. Love your site! Following you now! :)
ReplyDeleteI never wanted to be skinny, makes one look old at 40. Plumpness is good ;-)
ReplyDeleteNever really wanted to be stick thin instead I want to lose some of the unwanted fats then I'm good.
DeleteProud plump here! :) It's nice to hear good words as that truly makes us realize and motivates to love our flaws. Besides, if hubby or boyfie is OK with it, then all good! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true :) Cheers to all the proud plumps out there. Good thing I have a husband who knows how to tickle my fancy, hihi!
DeleteYou're not such plump as seen in the photo. ^_^ But if you think you're chubby, it is better if you avoid wearing clothes with horizontal stripes.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about having the confidence and the right attitude above physical appearance.
Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.
DeleteLove what you have and you can go a long way with that. we all have different body chemistry so it's important to be happy with what you have.
ReplyDeleteI sgree on what you said :)
DeleteHey, you're not that plump. :) And to consider the positive attitude you're showing on your body figure, then that's sexy for me. :D
ReplyDeleteBeing plump should be controlled. So as not to get chubby, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with you! base on your photo you are not PLUMP on the other note yes, confidence is the best asset you can wear on...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Seny :)
DeleteSexy is not limited to the physical. As long as you're contented and happy in your own skin, that, my dear, is sexy. You rock for being proud to be plump!
ReplyDeleteThank you and I agree on everything that you just said.
DeleteYou are beautiful & sexy sweetie :)
ReplyDeleteBE PROUD!
I've read some of their posts too and yeah they keep inspiring people

Thank you, dear Yesha :)
DeletePlump? No, you're not. your built just suits your age. But if you consider yourself a plump, then so be it,just be confident and have your mindset geared into the notion that you are sexy.
ReplyDeleteI will and thank you :)
DeleteMy problem is different because I am struggling to gain lean mass, haha..
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I think we all have problems with our own body sometimes.
Deletesize really matters among the girls ..but being thin is not the definition of being beautiful ... keep up your confidence
ReplyDeleteI will. Thank you :)
DeleteI'm a proud plump too! Don't worry PLUMP is SEXY. ;)
ReplyDeleteEver since after my spine surgery, I haven't been able to get back to the weight I used to be. Nevertheless, I've learned to love and be happy with my figure. After all, that is something that is just skin deep. The important thing is the character that you have as a person.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, it all started when I got pregnant and the "baby fats" that I gained during the whole pregnancy did not come of at all. I may lose some of it but there are still a lot of them fats. Nevertheless, I'm starting to love and embrace it because behind the "baby fats" story are 2 adorable kids.
DeleteYung joke pa ng friend ko: Oo, mataba ako... pero may pambili ako ng pagkain atbp. eh ikaw?
ReplyDeleteIt all boils down to confidence. Woot!
True! Ganyan din sinasabi ko minsan kaya ayun mas napapalakas ang confidence ko kumain, hahaha! Gaya nga ng sabi nila, it's all in the mind.
DeleteFemales are usually more conscious about their size than males. I'm plump ever since but it does not really bother me. It's just a matter of self-confidence. Being healthy is more important factor than the size.
ReplyDeleteAll true.
Deleteplump is in! hehehe, just recognize that there are more healthier looking people around than skinny ones...
ReplyDeletePlump rocks! Hehehe!
DeleteI don't want to be fat (but I am. Lol) but I'd never ever want to be skinny. Ever. I'd rather that they think that I eat a lot than not eat at all. I think sa confidence lang yan. If marunong ka magdala sa sarili mo, gaganda ka talaga kahit plump ka pa. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to be considered as average size not to fat and not to thin.
DeleteI would rather be plump compared to looking really thin. :)
ReplyDeleteI just want to shed off some "baby fats" but aside from that I am totally loving my body now.
DeletePlump is in ... I surely do wish to shed off those tummy flabs. I don't mind my weight. Just the fact that I want a flat tummy. :P You look gorgeous though no matter what. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, babe :) Same here, I just wish to shed off some "baby fats" that I gained during the pregnancy cycle.
Deletei think beauty is in the confidence in handling oneself... just don't overdone it. since there is also beauty in simplicity... Yahweh bless.
ReplyDeleteVery well said, Ralph! Thank you so much!
DeletePlump means rainbow too, right? :) But this style will make other fat. but this is good for summer to....
ReplyDeleteDi naman sa pagiging chubby or payat nasusukat and pagkatao kundi kung papano mo minamahal and iyong sarili at ang iyong kapwa. God gave us this body to love and care and always remember we are create in His own image and likeness so whatever size we are we are created in His image and likeness =)
ReplyDeleteVery well said, Ricky! Siguro meron lang talagang pagakakataon na nadadala ako sa mga advertisement lalo na kapag nakakakita ako ng mga payat.
Deleteyou don't look plum at all to me... seriously. and it may sound cliche, as long as you're comfortable with your body, you look sexy... :)
ReplyDeleteif you feel BEAUTIFUL inside... it will definitely illuminate.
ReplyDeleteBeing plump with self-confidence is better than being
sexy yet insecure. Everyone has own appeal.
I do agree on everything that you've just said.
DeleteI am very conscious about also my body because I know it's not an ideal one. But you know what it is only a matter of handling it in which I learned through reading some inspiring stories. You're not alone, marami tayo. lol!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya, hahaha!
Deletewhen I hear plump, I can imagine a siopao face. heheh.. but plump is cute
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Plump is definitely cute and cuddly too, hehe!
DeleteI'm not fat...I'm fluffy! Besides there is more of me to love...hahahaha. Anyway, the only downside to being on the heavy side is health issues. I try to eat healthy food, be more active and sleep 8 hours a day.
ReplyDeleteSo true with the health issues and also clothes lalo na if you live in the Philippines bibihira ang mga stores that caters to plus sizes.
DeletePlump is the new sexy and beauty is always inside not outside. Cheers to plumpiness!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Orly! Cheers to Plumpiness!
Deleteit's not about how you look, it's about how you carry the look.. it's all in the attitude!! way to go! :D
ReplyDeleteCheers~!

Cheers!
DeletePlump is the new sexy. Agree?
ReplyDeleteTotally agree :)
DeleteWhat Jaztien said :)
ReplyDeleteNever attempt to lose weight to feel more like a woman or to be more attractive. It's how you carry that look that matters.
That said, it doesn't mean you can lay off the discipline and let yourself go. There are health risks of being too plump. Legit risks. If you wanna lose weight, do it for that.
I would never really want to lose weight because I want to be attractive its more of because I want to lose some of the extra flab that I gained during pregnancy stage. Medyo hindi nagiging proportion and katawan ko, haha!
DeleteI don't see anything wrong with being plump. And in the early ages, being plump was so sexy back then. ^_^
ReplyDeleteYea! I remember Manilyn Monroe, woot woot!
DeleteAlthough being in the ideal weight adds much confidence, I think it is in the aspect of health that we should try to relate our quest for weight control.
ReplyDeleteSo true :)
DeleteAmazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
