Proud To Be Plump

PLUMP
I confess that I wasn't that proud because I have big bones, extra meats on the side and although I still can fit on a size 29 - 30 when it comes to jeans, I wasn't that confident still just because in the back of my head I'm aiming to have that Victoria's Secret's Angel's body; who wouldn't right. Anyhow, since I embraced hatred towards my full-bodied figure I decided to become friends with the very friendly eating disorders making me both an anorexic and bulimic all at the same time. Yep! Sounds weird but its all true.

That thinking was before I stumble upon The Plump Pinay's blog where Danah & Stacy always write beautiful words about loving your body whether you are skinny, plump, white, or black. I'm not sure if they are aware of it but they bring out the best in everyone with all the things that they share on their blog. I just hope that they keep on posting lots of inspiring stuff so that people like me who lacks self confidence will start embracing life with both hands without worrying about what other people might say.

Oh well, past is past although I still do believe that everything happened for a reason. As of the moment, I stop hating my full figured body and totally embracing whatever flaws I have. I am now happy with what God had given me but still working out on the extra bulge that I gained due to pregnancy. I know it will not come overnight but with the brisk walking and running after the kids, I know I get rid of them in no time.

I'm just so proud to be plump because being sexy doesn't always mean having an oozing body instead it is also about having confidence and the right attitude towards other people.

And by that, I am going to share you a not-so-lookbook-type photo which I still posted on my LookBook account anyway. Hype and let's be LookBook friends.

  1. i think we're facing the dilemma. i'm not a size 0 girl. my size is usually 3 or 4. medium framed they say and a little chubby. at times i hate it especially during the advent of fashion blogging. i so love fashion and i dress fashionably but i just can't have the guts to the OOTD :) but now i want to, but i'm still a little in between. ang hirap talaga pag chubby ka! and lalo na kapag alam ng friends mo and family yung blog mo :D hahaha

you look fab in those clothes. sadly, i don't own a lookbook.

  2. AY! I know that blog! I'm on the plump side din. But I think I'm bigger than you. Siguro a little inches. :D Anyway, back to the blog, I've read a couple of their posts back then. Nagiging inspiration ko sila. Sometimes kasi I can't help but get frustrated with the way my body look. I have to say that little by little, I'm loving my body. But I'm still on a diet. LOL.

And yes, being sexy doesn't mean you have to have the 36-24-36 body measure. It's all about being confident and loving yourself.

  5. Proud Plump here too! I believe in the saying that if you feel beautiful, people will see that through you and will see how beautiful you are <3 Don't let other people bring you down, ;)

  6. Go girl! I also believe that it's better to have some meat in your bones, like what a famous celebrity once said, if your thighs don't jiggle, you have to see the doctor. It's not really good to be stick thin. And besides, for me, being sexy is all about how one carries herself. <3

  13. You're not such plump as seen in the photo. ^_^ But if you think you're chubby, it is better if you avoid wearing clothes with horizontal stripes.

I agree with you about having the confidence and the right attitude above physical appearance.

  14. Love what you have and you can go a long way with that. we all have different body chemistry so it's important to be happy with what you have.

  15. Hey, you're not that plump. :) And to consider the positive attitude you're showing on your body figure, then that's sexy for me. :D

  16. Being plump should be controlled. So as not to get chubby, I guess.

  17. I have to disagree with you! base on your photo you are not PLUMP on the other note yes, confidence is the best asset you can wear on...

  18. Sexy is not limited to the physical. As long as you're contented and happy in your own skin, that, my dear, is sexy. You rock for being proud to be plump!

  20. Plump? No, you're not. your built just suits your age. But if you consider yourself a plump, then so be it,just be confident and have your mindset geared into the notion that you are sexy.

  24. Ever since after my spine surgery, I haven't been able to get back to the weight I used to be. Nevertheless, I've learned to love and be happy with my figure. After all, that is something that is just skin deep. The important thing is the character that you have as a person.

    1. As for me, it all started when I got pregnant and the "baby fats" that I gained during the whole pregnancy did not come of at all. I may lose some of it but there are still a lot of them fats. Nevertheless, I'm starting to love and embrace it because behind the "baby fats" story are 2 adorable kids.

  26. Females are usually more conscious about their size than males. I'm plump ever since but it does not really bother me. It's just a matter of self-confidence. Being healthy is more important factor than the size.

    ReplyDelete
  27. plump is in! hehehe, just recognize that there are more healthier looking people around than skinny ones...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't want to be fat (but I am. Lol) but I'd never ever want to be skinny. Ever. I'd rather that they think that I eat a lot than not eat at all. I think sa confidence lang yan. If marunong ka magdala sa sarili mo, gaganda ka talaga kahit plump ka pa. :)

  33. Di naman sa pagiging chubby or payat nasusukat and pagkatao kundi kung papano mo minamahal and iyong sarili at ang iyong kapwa. God gave us this body to love and care and always remember we are create in His own image and likeness so whatever size we are we are created in His image and likeness =)

  41. What Jaztien said :)

Never attempt to lose weight to feel more like a woman or to be more attractive. It's how you carry that look that matters.

That said, it doesn't mean you can lay off the discipline and let yourself go. There are health risks of being too plump. Legit risks. If you wanna lose weight, do it for that.
